Our swimming pool is located in Islandbridge and is available to all those who attend the Saint John of God School and Menni Services during the week and we also offer a wide range of sessions to the general public on Saturdays.

With a temperature of 30? our pool is ideal for those who would like to keep fit, learn to swim or improve their swimming skills. Public sessions include Parent & Child, Family and Public sessions. In addition we offer children’s lessons, with beginners to length swimmers catered for. For times and prices see the pool timetable and postal application listed on this site.

These sessions allow the parents or another adult to bring their under fives along to introduce them to water in a warm and safe environment. These are very popular sessions with music and toys where your child can make friends in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Our staff are always on hand to answer any questions you might have and you will receive a booklet containing lots of useful information when you purchase tickets for these sessions.

These sessions are very good value and allow all the family to swim together.

These sessions cater for both adults and children. If you are an OAP why not ask for our reduced rate.

Because of the popularity of our classes there may be a short waiting list for these sessions so why not complete our application form call in or send it to use and we will contact you as soon as we have a place for your child in the session of your choice. With very experienced teachers and at a cost of €65 for a ten week term our classes offer very good value.

Tickets sold in books of ten are available for all our sessions. These tickets are available from the pool staff by popping in to the swimming pool on Monday to Thursday between 11am and 3pm. If you prefer you can purchase your tickets by post by sending a completed postal application form, a cheque or postal order and a stamped addressed envelope to:

Tickets are usually sent to you in the return post on the day we receive your application. Tickets are valid for a six month period. Application forms available on this site.

All our school pupils and those individuals who attend our service are offered the opportunity to attend a swimming session each week if they choose to avail of this service.

For those who attend St. John of God School and Menni Services in addition to their regular swimming sessions we now offer Multi Sensory Swimming sessions. These sessions include elements that stimulate all of the senses and offer a really nice way to relax or swim.

This feature includes a computerised lighting system that allows any one of a programme of over thirty different lighting sequences to be used at the touch of a switch, inducing an environment that can be stimulating or relaxing. Linked to the system is a sound system that allows the user to listen to music while engaging in activities that stimulate all the senses. Aromatherapy is also a feature. The benefits of the use of such equipment are wide from stimulation to relaxation, motor skill development and of course the development of water confidence and swimming skills.
